Veterans Day

American Legion Post 268 Sanger Veterans Day Event 2024
The American Legion Post 268 would like to just take a moment to offer a “THANK YOU” to all who served this great nation. We hope you had a wonderful Veterans Day. As you know, Post 268 placed flags on the graves of Veterans this past Saturday, and we also served lunch on Sanger Square to Veterans and their families as well as to the Sanger First Responders from the Police and Fire Departments.

Veterans Day 2025

Was a great day, the local Sanger Fire Department Fire Fighters and somewhere~ 15 Veterans and their families participated in the event. It was a good turnout, including the members of American Legion Post 268 who assisted with putting out flags (Dan Warren, Todd Wilber, Steve Coburn, Jeff Justice, Stephen Ramsey and Erik Rasch) and helping with the setup and clean up (Thomas Adkins, Clint Smith, Rick Roberts, Melanie Wilson and Marv Mitchell) on the square.

Veterans Day 2024

There were at least 6 firefighters, 5-6 police officers, and somewhere between 10-12 Veterans and their families who were not members of Post 268. It was a good turnout, including the members of American Legion Post 268 who assisted with putting out flags and helping with the setup and clean up on the square.
